TEACH

While not wanting to be boxed in by labels, TEACH is determined to take gospel rap to the next level. He wants to erase some of the stereotypes in people's mind that gospel rap is sub par to its counterpart. With hot beats and tight lyrics, TEACH's desire is to bring a message of hope and to change the game. Imagine Tupac Shakur and Kirk Franklin rolled into one, mesmerizing the crowd with intensity. It may not be "hot" in some sets to proclaim the name of God, but TEACH has no problem saying that it was God who changed his life in 1995 - not just for him, but so that he could go out and do the same for others. Shortly thereafter, he began to use his unique gift of rap to minister and share his compelling testimony of how God miraculously changed his life.

This gifted artist knew he wanted to be a rapper when he heard these words at the age of nine: "When I'm alone in my room/ sometimes I stare at the wall/ and in the back of my mind I hear my conscious call/ telling me I need a girl who's as sweet as a dove/ and for the first time in my life I see I need love." Following in the likes of LL Cool J, Will Smith, and countless other rapper-turned-actors, TEACH has a myriad of talents. Besides being a rapper, he is the youth pastor of Vine-Life Christian Fellowship in Riverside where he currently resides with his lovely wife Katina and two daughters. He's also an actor and a classically trained pianist.

Since 1995, TEACH has appeared on various television shows, hosted a talk radio program, and was the first runner up on the legendary Showtime at the Apollo. In addition, this accomplished rapper/actor has had commanding roles in several hit gospel stage plays such as: "Storms of Life", "Reconstructed", "A Man named Job", and "Calvary." TEACH was also featured in the Universal film, Jarhead, starring Academy Award Winner Jamie Foxx. On the musical side, he collaborated with Christsyde on their album, Who Dat, and received rave reviews for his performance on Kenny Smith's award-winning album, So Real. In 2000, TEACH independently released both 'Soul Music' & 'Nothin' To Prove' which created a buzz resulting in this multi-talented artist being signed to CSR Entertainment. His highly anticipated untitled debut is expected to be released in 1st quater 2008, and it prominise to be more "heat for the streets" & "food for the soul"!

TEACH is also a motivational speaker and frequently conducts school assemblies. His message, "Discover Your Destiny," enriches young minds by stimulating their imaginations and by encouraging young people to be leaders. TEACH is very effective in reaching youth through his music and his life stories because he can relate to their challenges. His personal success story of triumph against the odds leaves students convinced that all things are possible!

Indulging in the passionate and musical diversity of TEACH or to witness his dynamic performance is like enjoying a breath of fresh air - refreshing. With his slick style and lively sense of humor, TEACH has connected with audiences across the nation and is effective in reaching people of various backgrounds. Ingenious in his craft, TEACH insists that his purpose is to promote God's love and deliver good news in a society saturated with negativity. By maximizing various media outlets, TEACH is well on his way to accomplishing his goal: "Influencing young people to make good choices and live their God-given dreams".
